I consider last season to be a real breakthrough season. The girls gained some valuable experience and confidence while playing in a very competitive North Manchester League Under 13's. Many would say that although we did not win the mains prizes our football and positive attitude won many accolades.
With the introduction of a number of new and very exciting players for the new 2010/11 season we are looking forward to competing in the South Manchester Girls Under 15's League. There will be a number of Cup competitions to go for. We will also be competing in the prestigious Tesco Cup at Under 14 level against other teams affiliated to the Chehire FA.
I am very excited about the team we have and I am sure we will be bringing something new to the South Manchester League.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
