Stockport County LFC - 2010/2011
We are again the top Cheshire ladies team, despite an 8th placed finish in the NWCFL, with bottom club Tranmere Rovers LFC being relegated. However, Tranmere did regain the Cheshire FA Women's Cup by defeating our semi-final conquerors, Crewe Alexandra LFC, 1-0. In another difficult season, there were some good displays though, none more so than our 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday, a 3-1 defeat of Middlesbrough LFC and the final match of the season away to Mossley Hill, winning 2-1. Jonny Davies stood down due to personal reasons in January and Paul Hancock stepped up to see the team through to the end of the season.
