History

How we started
11 Oct 2010

After the 2009/10 season four girls were too old to play for the Stockport County Ladies U11's DMS team and there was already an established U12's team made up from the previous seasons U11's team, so rather than leave the girls without a team, two parents volunteered to run a new team. Damon Tomlinson who had once trained under Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest and has a wealth of football knowledge volunteered to Coach and Manage the team, while Jennine Sutton took on the role as Match Day Secretary and once the team signed a further four more players, they were entered into the South Manchester Girl's League.

Becky Royle came on board to assist with the training and supports Damon during the training sessions.

The story so far
11 Oct 2010

At the beginning of the season the team was viewed as the underdogs but since then, the team has won their first four games with an impressive 34 goals scored whilst conceding only one goal, and the team owe it's success to Coach Damon as through his dedication and guidance the girls have realised their true potential and walk onto the pitch ready to challenge any team with determination and true footballing spirit.

The team also has supportive parents who attend every game and who are always keen to lend a hand when needed and this has been paramount to the teams success.
